Square pianoforte

History of piano from Mrs. George N. Wallace, Woodbury, Connecticut, the last owner: "Mr. James Ferris and his wife, Sarah Oakley Ferris, presented it to their daughter, Ann Eliza Ferris (a Quaker) on her 18th birthday, June 10, 1809. Ann Ferris married Alexander J. C. Hamilton in 1810, and on her death left the piano to their daughter, Catherine Hamilton Botts. Mrs. George L. Wallace (Helen L.) inherited it from her grandmother (Mrs. Botts) in 1913".
