Drum and Drumstick

Round drum with animal skin stretched on frame made from tobacco box, brought west by settlers (legend reads "Granger Twist Tobbacco Wilmer & Diogre Tobacco Co., Factory 79 - St. Louis, Ma. U.S.A."). Drumstick probably made from a spindle. Used in moradas and churches along with metraca; also used at "baile" (dances).
