"Trapeze-shaped soundbox, with gilt moulding round the edges. Pine belly with two gilt paper roses. A dark-stained wooden wrest plank on the right and block for hitch pins on the left. Twenty-four courses of wire strings, alternately quadruple and triple. The two bridges are composed of individual wooden posts over which run flexible brass wire bearers."
