Flute. A late 19th-century silver-mounted African hardwood flute in a leather-covered case, with extending mouthpiece section with turning silver cap, with embossed Royal coat-of-arms and the text "RUDALL & ROSE PATENTEES". In a fitted hard wooden case covered in paper imitating black leather, with a small unmarked white metal cartouche to the top and lined with dark green velvet. With a small circular wooden pot of grease and a cardboard spool of red linen thread.
