Zither. A wooden 21-stringed zither, with metal pegs and strings, the top with painted decoration of a scene of a chalet and mountains above a dancing couple in Alpine dress, with sprays of columbine to each side. A geometric with wheels around the soundbox aperture, and below that notes of the strings in letters, musical notation and numbers. A paper label below the soundbox aperture reads "Guitarr- / zither". Raised on three small conical metal feet.
