Bell
A nineteenth century African metal bell made by the Edo or Bini people of Benin with a square section and metal loop type handle decorated with a simple hatching pattern. These quadrangular brass bells were in religious practices to attract the attention of the ancestors. They were also sometimes worn around the neck by warriors in battle.
