bell

Amulet (omamori) in the form of a small pouch (with contents), made with brocaded silk with motifs of a car, traffic signals and the characters for the temple's name (Chion-ji) and the function of the amulet (for safe travel) on blue background. The pouch is closed with a knot made of white silk cord. A metal ring is clipped to the top of the amulet and on which hang a multicoloured plaited cord (used to attache the amulet in use), a golden plaque in the shape of ancient Japanese coins (duplicating the written information on the pouch) and a bell.
