Flute carved from single piece of wood, with slot immediately below mouthpiece and nine finger-holes. Fibre (vegetable) covered in pitch (?) is wrapped in sections along the length of the flute: between mouthpiece and slot; slot and finger-holes; fifth and sixth finger-holes; eighth and ninth finger-holes.
