Drum

Drum made of a wood and reptile skin. The body of the drum is a wooden tube which widens from the mid-point to the top. Around the middle of the drum is a raised band of carved decoration. On one side of the drum body there is a handle which has been carved from the same piece of wood. Either side of the handle are half-oval shapes, in line with the handle: three above the handle and four below. Above and below the half-oval shapes are single larger shapes protruding from the drum. There is incised decoration on both sides of these shapes. The reptile skin is in poor condition around the edge where it is attached to the drum.
