whistle

Double-chambered whistling bottle with tall, flat-rimmed spout, chambers with pronounced equators and flat base. One chamber is surmounted by a circular platform, atop which sits a monkey oriented at right angles to the bridge rather than parallel to it. Wears a belt and necklace, with hand to mouth as though eating. Vertical mould seams down chamber sides so single mould-set used; monkey added incorporating whistle mechanism. Polished, including base. Black with minor pale grey patching.
