raft zither

Musical instrument, raft zither made of multiple idiochord tubes made of reed secured together at top and bottom with vegetable fibre. The 'strings' are cut from the upper part of the tubes and are raised over two reed bridges placed near top and bottom. Rectangular sheet metal resonator on underside pierced around edges; some loops of metal acting as rattles remain in place.
