drum

Decorated timber-framed circular drum. The skin, made from gut, is stretched across the frame and secured on the reverse by seven radially attached lengths of gut string. At the centre a ball of rolled black leather acts as a handle. The painted design on the skin depicts a transformation scene involving killer whale and wolf.
