cylindrical drum

A carved and painted cylindrical wood drum made from a single tree trunk. The top is covered in cow hide. The external sides of the drum are carved in relief with images of symbolic animals, human figures, implements and female physical attributes that are painted in various colours. The hollow base of the drum is carved into the form of a stand with multiple bents supports or legs painted red.
