Drum, 'ozi'. Although a standard shape, this drum is finely decorated with threads of gilded 'thayo' (lacquer putty moulded into shape), and inset colour glass fragments in the 'hmanzi shwe cha' technique. Made of carved, lacquered wood, with leather membrane and tuning straps.
