Pan-pipes (khaen); made of bamboo; two sets of six lengths of bamboo, each pair cut to different length; bamboo set inside cylinder of wood with hole carved in middle and held in place with pitch, knob carved on one end of cylinder, hole carved in opposite end; fibre wrapped around top and bottom of bamboo.
