gusle

Fiddle ('gusla') and bow, carved wood, with horsehair single-string attached at top of fingerboard which terminates in a scroll carved with a horse's head (one ear missing), the sound board of stretched skin. The back of fingerboard and bowl with incised geometric decoration. The accompanying wood and horsehair bow with simple incised decoration.
