Long-necked two-stringed musical instrument from the fiddle group, carved wood, tear-drop shaped sound box with darker areas painted on at top and bottom, F-holes, large arched bridge screwed to box with metal (lead ?) circular fittings each side. The box flat at back with incised V-shaped decorative lines. Long fingerboard (one metal string remaining), the frets incised and once filled in with a white inlay (paint ?) mostly now missing. Metal tuning pegs with bone heads. Metal tailpiece.
