Wooden fiddle (gusle or gusla), the scroll carved in the form of a horse's head surmounted by a bird; a single string made of mutilple strands of horsehair held by a wooden peg, the sounding box covered with a skin membrane fastened with wooden pegs, the back pierced with a cross-shaped hole; the rest carved with geometric ornament.
