French horn

French horn; This instrument with two Berlin valves may have been used by Kelvin in his class demonstrations he was a founder member of the Cambridge University Music Society and used a variety of instruments in accoustical and other demonstrations. The instrument dates from 1842-3. By 1857 central London area addresses carried a code letter. Koenig supplied scientific instruments from the second half of the 19th century.
