body: 21 concave ribs of maple, with ebony stringing in between, a fancy fretted border at the end and a strip of tortoise-shell along the sides below the edge; 4 ivory pins and a (?later) brass ring for a sling. Belly: pine, bent at the bridge; 14 frets; head: flat, shaped, with 8 posterior pegs. Length 577, body 280, width 182, depth 148, strings 324, fingerboard 142
