Clarinet. Nominal pitch: B♭.
Technical description: Boxwood with ivory ferrules and brass keywork. Four pieces: mouthpiece, upper section (includes barrel), lower section, bell. Speaker liner projects 6mm into bore. Thumb hole lined with a brass tube to prevent water from dripping out. 13-key Müller system plus alternative G♯₃/E♭₅ for L4 and alternative F♯₃/C♯₅ for R4. Both C♯ key and B key are interlinked to C key closing the C tone-hole when depressed. L0: T; speaker. L1: T; throatA♮; throatA♭. L2: T. L3: T; E♭₄/B♭₅. L4: C♯₄/G♯₅; E₃/B♮₄; F♯₃/C♯₅; G♯₃/E♭₅. R1: T; side F₄/C₆; side trill key for throatA-B♮ and B♭-C. R2: T. R3: T; B♭₃/F♮₅; side B♮₃/F♯₅. R4: F₃/C₅; G♯₃/E♭₅; F♯₃/C♯₅. Keymount type: pillars on brass plates screwed to body. Keyhead type: saltspoon. Repair History: The mouthpiece is a replacement.
