Cornet. Nominal pitch: B♭ etc.
Technical description: Brass. Leadpipe enters 3rd valve casing at 15° right of front; 3rd valve loop leaves from left and returns to 15° left of front; bellpipe exits 1st valve casing at the left. With double water-key with single touchpiece. With shank for B?, not original. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves, top-sprung with spring inside tubular stem; alignment by unequal lugs on spring plate. Repair History: Spurious bottom springs have been added, presumably when original springs grew weak; the shank for B? is a replacement.Technical description: Brass.
