Flute. Nominal pitch: C.
Technical description: Boxwood; 4 sections; 'electrum' (natural alloy of gold and silver) key; 5 ivory ferrules plus cap; oval embouchure-hole. Keymount type: ring; SATK. Keyhead type: flat square. Repair History: Ivory spacer (third ferrule) made by J. & R. Glen (to lower pitch); foot ferrule replaced; head ferrule and socket wound with twine to inhibit crack.
