Technical description: Boxwood with ivory ferrules and brass keywork. Six pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, upper section, middle section for the fingers of the right hand, lower section with keys, bell.Mouthpiece of dark wood with a long tenon and a short table. Grooved for cord with 13grooves.Highly waisted barrel with two ivory ferrules. Upper section: on top ornamented with a thin groove. Straight speaker; speaker liner projects c4mm into bore.Middle section: wide ivory ferrule, no thumbrest.Lower section: Levers for L4, tone-hole and key for R4 mounted in a bell-shaped swelling. G♯₃/E♭₅ guidance lined with brass.Bell discontinuous with an ivory rim. Bevelled key-heads.All tone-holes under keys have an inserted brass tube (cf. Wood's G.B.Patent No.2381, 1800).
