Technical description: Boxwood with horn ferrules and brass keywork. Six pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, upper section, middle section for the fingers of the right hand, lower section with keys, bell. Ebonite mouthpiece not grooved for cord and not original. Curved wooden barrel with two flat horn ferrules. Upper section: straight speaker and throat keys mounted in a rectangular turned ring. Speaker liner projects almost to the centre of bore. A? key long tailed to enable the player to play it with R1 (Continental) or R2 (English). E?/B? key for R1 instead of L3 and F/C key for L3/4 instead of R1. Middle section: Integral wooden thumbrest, wide horn ferrule. Lower section: levers for R0, L4 and R4 mounted in a rectangular turned ring. Additional keys are C key for R4 and diatonic extension open-standing C and D keys for R0. Straight bell. L0: T; speaker.
