Zither.
Technical description: Cross strung zither, the chord strings are above the single strings in a direction from the left hand back to the right hand front. The single strings are parallel to the spine. Back of black-stained pine, black painted sides and soundboard. All of the cross strung chord strings are the same length, the single string bridge is of two segments with note B? at the join. There is an iron rod let into the bridges and nuts for the strings to move over. Square-headed tuning-pins. Chords are Amajor/minor, Dmajor/minor, Fmajor, Gmajor, Cmajor. Two octaves single strings from C? to C?, chromatic. There are covers over the hitchpins at the bottom and the right hand top. Sound-hole diameter 69. Three buttons underneath attached to back.
