Orchestral horn
Technical description: Orchestral hand-horn with set of three Périnet valves, almost certainly original. Valves have short slides (A and below). As stands, secured by a ligature fitting on distal slide branch. Valveless arms made by Phil Parker 1981; the original arms and tuning-slide were probably slightly different (parallel). With both high and low pitch tuning-slides. Metal construction: yellow brass; seamed gusseted bell, bell garland width 30; seamed intermediate and mouthpipe segments. With French pattern F crook and semitone coupler. Valve type: Long-stem Périnet valves. Repair History: 50mm sleeve covers damage (tube cut ?) to bell segment.
