Cornopean. Nominal pitch: B♭ etc.
Technical description: Nickel-plated brass. Model of cornopean with narrow minimum bore comparable with the French cornet à pistons. With shank for A and crooks for A♭, F, E and E♭. Clapper key. 1st valve: semitone; 2nd valve: tone; 3rd valve: minor third. Valve type: 3 Stölzel valves, with spring inside hollow stem; alignment by screwed pin which also locates bottom end of spring; wax partitions.
