Bass valve trombone. Nominal pitch: F.
Technical description: Brass, with german silver garland, ferrules and stay mounts. Short model; loop in bell section. Main tuning-slide at foot of leadpipe. With water-key on main tuning-slide. Fitting for music card-holder. Length of m.t.s. 102mm, allowing increase of air column length by nearly 204mm. Valve type: 4 rotary valves, in line; clock spring in drums; cork buffers mounted on valve spindles.
