Flute. Nominal pitch: C.
Technical description: Boxwood; 4 sections; brass key; no additional ferrules; small, slightly oval embouchure-hole; plain design; distinctive grain. Keymount type: ring. Keyhead type: rectangular, curved to fit shape of foot. Repair History: Crack in head pinned by Lorraine Wood, London 1982 (has reopened); replacement foot with brass key, and cap, made by William Foster, Shropshire 1983.
