Euphonium. Nominal pitch: B♭.
Technical description: Silver-plated brass. 'Dictor' system: 3rd valve compensating with respect to 4th only, 3rd valve lowers by 3 semitones without 4th valve and by 4 semitones with 4th valve. As inscription implies, D₂ is fingered 412, C♯₂ is fingered 43. 2 water-keys. Fitting for music card-holder. Valve type: 4 Périnet-type valves. Repair History: Tuning-slide restored by Nicholas Perry - 22.11.87, previous lengthening for use at a lower pitch removed.
