Cornet. Nominal pitch: B♭ etc.
Technical description: Brass, lacquered. Leadpipe enters 3rd valve casing at 15° right of front; 3rd valve loop leaves from left and returns to front; bellpipe exits 1st valve casing at the left. With double water-key with a single touchpiece. With shanks for B♭ and A; crooks for A♭ and G. Valve type: 3 Périnet valves, top-sprung, spring outside stem; alignment by key on piston. Repair History: Legs of main tuning-slide extended to lower from Old Philharmonic pitch; lacquered.
