Technical description: Boxwood, with ivory ferrules and brass key-work.Six pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, upper section, middle section for the fingers of the right hand, lower section with keys, bell.Mouthpiece dark wood, long tenon, short table, grooved with 13grooves for cord, stamped on reed side. Barrel high-waisted, with two ivory ferrules, on half-round, one flat.Upper section: Speaker liner projects almost to the centre of bore. Middle section: wide ivory ferrule on top, no thumbrest.Lower section: Levers for L4, tone-hole and key for R4 mounted in a bell-shaped swelling.Bell has an ivory rim. Bell of unusual profile: the flare begins at the bascule, but the top of the bell is nearly parallel, giving it a rather swollen look. L0: T; straight speaker. L1: T; throatA♮. L2: T. L3: T.
