Beaters: xylophone, with jingles; pair.

Technical description: Wooden heads in 'top-hat' shape with jingle on upper surface of each; shafts of a different kind of wood. Probably home-made utilising shafts from other beaters.A typical percussionist's improvisation to give two effects at the same time: present-day examples exist of different combinations of effects and sticks. Total mass 42g; head mass 39g (93%).
