Euphonium. Nominal pitch: B♭.
Technical description: Brass with german silver garland, bow guards, outer tuning-slides and some ferrules. Oval wrap. Water-key on main tuning-slide with long connecting rod to enable it to be actuated by a button near the mouthpipe. Valve type: 4 rotary valves, 'Waltzenventile' mechanism with screw spring tension adjusters. Repair History: The bit provided to lower pitch; spacers inserted in some of the valve tuning-slide legs to limit travel.
