Tuba. Nominal pitch: F.
Technical description: Brass. Valve type: 4 rotary valves. Repair History: The instrument appears to have been shortened from E♭ at high pitch to F at low pitch: the mouthpiece receiver was evidently previously nearer the bell; the mouthpipe now prevents the 4th valve tuning-slide from being removed.
