Ballad horn. Nominal pitch: C / B♭.
Technical description: Brass, circular form, downwards-directed bell. With shank for C and crook for B♭ Valve type: 3 Périnet valves, top-sprung with spring outside valve stem; alignment by key on piston. Repair History: The crook is probably a crook for a cornet inC for B♭, used with this instrument to lower pitch rather than to change tonality.
