There is an onion shaped baluster at the top of the instrument. The octave key hole has a removable brass lining. The octave key is hinged at the back of the instrument within the baluster as in nos 1539 and 66). There is no sign of any support for R0. The octave key and the R4 keys have felt pads, the material for the other pads is unknown. The G? key is attached to the lower joint. The C? key overlaps the lowC key and depresses both. There are two vent holes in the bell.
