Technical description: Boxwood with ivory ferrules and brass keys. Four pieces: mouthpiece and barrel one piece, upper section, lower section, bell.Mouthpiece of dark wood grooved with 11grooves for cord.Barrel hardly waisted, with two ivory ferrules ornamented with grooves.Upper section: all blocks strengthened with brass pins. Speaker liner projects almost to centre of bore.Lower section: wide half-round ferrule, no thumb key. Levers for L4, tone-hole and key for R4 mounted in a bell-shaped swelling. Tone-holes under keys lined with brass.Bell: hardly continuous. Half-round rim on bell. L0: T; straight speaker. L1: T; throatA♮. L2: T. L3: T; cross E♭₄/B♭₅. L4: cross C♯₃/G♯₅; bascule E₃/B♮₄; zig-zag F♯₃/C♯₅. R1: T; side trill key for throatA-B♮ or B♭-C♮. R2: T; cross B♮₃/F♯₅. R3: T. R4: T; G♯₃/E♭₅. Keymount type: Blocks and bell-shaped swelling.
