Technical description: Boxwood with ivory and horn ferrules and brass keywork. Seven pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, upper section, ivory knee, middle section for the fingers of the right hand, lower section with keys and book, brass bell. Originally with 8keys, 5added keys. L0: T; speaker. L1: T; throat A♮; throat A♭. L2: T; cross F₄/C₆. L3: T; cross E♭₄/B♭₅. L4: C♯₄/G♯₅; E₃/B♮₄; F♯₃/C♯₅. R0: D₃; C₃. R1: T; side trill key for throat A-B♮ and B♭-C. R2: T. R3: T. R4: F₃/C₅; G♯₃/E♭₅. Keymount type: turned wooden rings; saddles on plates screwed in wood for the original keys, added keys between screwed in pillars. Keyhead type: flat square Repair History: 5keys added in saddles (L1throat A♭; L2cross F₄/C₆; L3cross E♭₄/B♭₅; L4C♯₄/G♯₅; R1side trill key for throat A-B♮ and B♭-C). The upper section, with black varnish, possibly did not originally belong with the rest of the instrument.
