Technical description: Rosewood with nickel plated german silver ferrules and keywork. Four pieces: mouthpiece [a replacement], barrel, one-piece body, bell. Unstamped cocus wood mouthpiece, marked for a ligature, presumably not original. Zig-zag speaker with chimney on front of the instrument. German silver tube in thumb-hole. Brille on upper section with vent between L1 and L2. Pupeschi-style articulated C♯₄/G♯₅. Opened by L4 levers for E₃/B♮₄ and F♯₃/C♯₅ and F₃/C₅. Closed by R1 ring. Csharp mechanism. Traces of a music card holder. 14keys, 5rings, 4black rollers. L0: T + ring; speaker. L1: T + ring + vent; throat A♮; throat A♭. L2: T + ring + vent. L3: T; E♭₄/B♭₅. L4: E₃/B♮₄; F♯₃/C♯₅; alternative lever for F₃/C₅. R1: T + ring + vent; side F₄/C₆; side E♭₄/B♭₅; side trill 1-2. R2: T + ring + vent. R3: T + ring (forked B♭₃/F♮₅); cross B♭₃/F♮₅. R4: G♯₃/E♭₅; F₃/C₅. Keymount type: screwed in pillars. Keyhead type: modern.
