Set of bellows-blown reelpipes, Nominal pitch: B♭.,
Technical description: Set of bellows-blown reel-pipes in ebony and ivory and one horn mount, with original stamped chanter, and old (possibly original) bellows.Chanter: Seven finger-holes and one thumb-hole. Lapped tenon with bulb. Ivory sole and ferrule on stock. Small chip out of the wood on the bulb. Wood is worn around the finger-holes from continued use and there is an indentation from the placement of the player's left-hand little finger.Drone set-up: three drones in ebony common stock with ivory mount.Bass drone: three sections with ivory top and ivory mounts with finely turned decoration. Cane reed.Tenor drones: two sections. Ebony with ivory mounts and cane reeds.Bag: sheepskin leather bag. Bag appears to be very old.Bag cover/cord: Dark blue and green tartan, wool bag cover. No fringe at stock openings. No cording.Additional Comments: Style identical to (6119).Measurements: chanter length 360, conical bore beginning at 4.5. and ending at 20; bass drone length c614, bore at top 11.4; tenor drones length c287, bore at top 9.6. Repair History: One bass drone ivory top is a replacement, not in the same decorative style as the other tops and of a lesser quality of ivory.
