Seraphone
Square case of mahogany, with varnished pine interior, on ebonised base, the front and sides decorated with stylised flowers and border in gold paint. Narrow, hinged flap in front of case pulls down to increase volume of sound. Central lid opens to reveal winding mechanism for the two wooden rolls, on a pine base stamped with the serial number "1377". Tracker-bar of beech with 20 air vents along the top. Bellows in bottom of case operated by wooden handle on right-hand side. Twenty brass reeds, each marked with its own note.
