Trumpet, triton shell with carved wooden mouthpiece in form of face with protruding tongue, inlaid haliotis shell and mouthpiece fixed with flax binding, probably of European make as, although reminscient of Maori pu tatara, the carving is not authentic: Oceania, Polynesia, New Zealand, early 20th century
