Technical description: boxwood; 4 sections; brass key; 5 ivory ferrules, of various designs; ivory cap; large, slightly oval embouchure hole; medium-sized finger-holes.; Nominal pitch: E♭.; Type or system: 1 key.; Keyhead type: flat square, notched and chamfered.; Keymount type: ring.; Usable pitch: sounding A₄ c|453|Hz.; Performance characteristics: range D₄|-|B♭₆ (sounding F₄|-|D♭₇); unclear on bottom notes in present condition but otherwise plays with a strong warm sound right to the top note.
