Technical description: Brass; bell without gusset, with French rim. Bow guard with knob. Looped crook without tuning-slide. The crook tenon and receiver act as a tuning-slide, a ligature restraining screw holds the crook in position. With curved hand-rests to support instrument on both hands; also ring for neck strap. SATK; the open-standing bell key for A has separate springs for the touchpiece and the keyhead without attachment between the two shanks; screw adjuster to control opening of A key. With wire guard to protect F♯ and G keys.
