Vessel flute
Flute - Zoomorphic vessel-flute whistle, with internal duct and no fingerholes. Made of grey-black earthenware, with cock modelled in clay at distal end of pipe. Originally pipe had two small feet at distal end, presumably so that it could be laid down so as to keep the cock vertical. Comb, wattles, eyes, beak, tail-feathers all carefully modelled; Incomplete
