One-string fiddle
This is an unusual one-string fiddle made with a violin-shaped body and a long neck. The body has the same waisted figure and f-shaped soundholes of a violin, but the top and back are flat. The neck terminates in a scroll pegbox, which contains a single friction ebony peg, and although it is unfretted, it has fourteen carved markings for the different pitches. The tuning peg has remains of a wound plain steel string.
