Piccolo in F

This instrument was probably used by the Randwick Wesleyan Chapel Band. It is a side-blown piccolo flute made of dark wood, in three sections (head, barrel, and body joint), with nickel-silver ferrules and keywork. It has four modern-style-cup keys mounted in posts with rods, with flat springs attached to keys. The head has a wooden cap and is lined with brass. The embouchure hole is oval. Nominal pitch: E-flat.
