Military side drum
Military side drum with emblazoned brass shell and wooden counterhoops, rope-tensioned with British style white leather braces (round edge, white, with vellum lace). The counterhoops have 10 drilled holes through which the tensioning rope passes. Drum was probably converted into a table, as the heads were replaced with wooden planks. Associated with the 2nd Battalion of the Middlesex Regiment (Duke of Cambridge’s Own).
